The short version
- Before you choose anything on the cookie banner, the only cookies set are the ones needed to remember that choice and to keep the site secure.
- Google Analytics sets statistics cookies only if you accept them.
- No advertising or marketing cookies are used, and nothing follows you to other websites.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser, so that it can recognise the same browser on a later visit. This policy also covers the similar storage a browser keeps for a website, because it is used in the same way.
Cookies that are always on
These are strictly necessary. Without them the site could not remember your consent choice or protect itself against attacks, so EU law allows them without asking first. They are used for nothing else.
Statistics cookies, only with your consent
These are set only if you accept statistics cookies. They let Google Analytics count visits and see which pages are read. How Analytics is configured here, and what happens to the data, is set out in the Privacy Policy.
What is not used
There are no preference cookies, no marketing or advertising cookies, and no social media pixels. If any of them is ever added, it will be listed on this page and the cookie banner will ask you before it is set.
Change your choice
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time. Your current choice is shown below.
Blocking cookies in your browser
Every browser lets you delete cookies, block them, or be warned before one is set. The settings are in your browser’s privacy options. If you block all cookies the site still works, but it can no longer remember your choice, so the banner will appear on every visit.
Your data and your rights
Who is responsible for any personal data involved, the legal basis for it, who receives it and the rights you have are all set out in the Privacy Policy. Questions about cookies go to [email protected].
Changes to this policy
If the cookies this site uses change, this page changes with them, and the date at the top changes too. That date is the version that applies.
